Bio

Cody Merrick is a queer experimental filmmaker and multidisciplinary conceptual artist from eastern Massachusetts. Influenced by avant garde and counter culture movements, and squarely in opposition to his conservative upbringing, his work focuses on personal experience and identity through a commitment to radical intimacy. Through ever-changing modes of form and presentation, unflinching depictions of the self from sexual to societal remain at the center of his art. Merrick’s work has been featured in a number of queer-centered screenings nationwide.

Merrick received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film & Video in 2025 from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
